"flow like water"
Traditional Shaolin training is a system that has evolved not invented. Techniques and methods have been tried and tested in war and have enabled generations of monks to survive conflict and persecution. Fundamentals of Shaolin Gong Fu (traditional stances, forms, basic punches and kicks) are taught in the class and are the key to unlocking the spirit of the system.
Use your Power
Simply copying a movement is not sufficient to initiate the transformation of your physical and spiritual being. As a student you need to put your heart and mind behind every activity during the class. Externally this is perceived as the ability of your body to move explosively and accurately.
Practice Practice Practice
Improving your "heart strength" is the foundation for advanced Shaolin Gong Fu practice. High intensity drills ensure quick progress. Intensity and perseverance are cultivated and expected.
...And Relax.
You will learn the most popular Qi Gong in the world. The Eight Treasures (Eight Pieces of Brocade, Ba Duan Yin) consists of a series of gentle movements designed to dramatically improve health, increase energy and revitalize the body. Mediation is the missing element in the syllabus of most martial arts schools. Actually one common answer to the question "Why the Shaolin Monks train so hard ?" is that "So they can meditate for longer period of times!"
Individually we can be strong but together we can be stronger.
Kung Fu has a way of bringing poeple together and creating a sort of family, we train with our brothers and sisters.
